Saturday Style guide:

Happy Saturday! As we’re now knee deep in the festive season, and some of our best outfits may be exhausted, finding something to wear can become difficult. But don’t worry… all the hard work has been done and after scrolling through Pinterest all morning, I’ve finally found some inspiration for tonight.

Read more to find out what to pair your wardrobe essentials with to revive them for festive celebrations:

  1. Statement skirts

Now I know what you’re thinking… we don’t all have a sequin skirt just sat about. But the whole idea of this inspo pic is to elevate an essentials top with a statement skirt. For example swap the sequins for satin or even lace detail. A statement doesn’t just have to be a change in material but simply a contrasting colour or pattern that compliments a plain top. Any colours ranging from black and white to gold and silver scream Christmas. Pair with a sparkly pair of heels or a micro chic bag to radiate elegance and class.

2. Jeans and a nice top:

The classic go-to. To keep on with 2023 trends, try a slightly longer top that falls below your waistline to embody the new silhouette that we’re seeing on the runways and all over our social feeds. Not only is the look effortless but it’s comfortable too. Grab your favourite pair of jeans and get them dressed up! The top above has splits up the sides to help hug the figure and add to the silhouette.

3. Monochrome:

Festive celebrations don’t have to include sparkles, bright colours and feathers if you don’t want them to! Some of us prefer a different colour pallet, one more restricted to blacks, whites and creams. Upgrade your go to look with some knee high boots and a bow (very 2023) in your hair. Use accessories to dress up, don’t rely on just the clothes. Some hoop ear-rings or even a fancy up do will ensure you’re ready for your Christmas party.

4. Effortless chic:

Take your favourite plain black mini dress and pair it with an over sized blazer. Not only does this look like you’re fresh out of LA, but it also will keep you warm and comfortable through the night, especially when you’re waiting for the taxi home… you may need a brolly too. Again using accessories to bring a pop of colour or pattern. Knee high boots with this outfit go perfectly as they help keep the perfect amount of skin on show.

5. Nice jeans and a top:

You read that right. Instead of using a fancy top, why not pair an everyday essential with some statement jeans. From pearls to diamantés, jeans don’t have to be plain. 2023 has also seen a surge in metallic jeans or even lace detailed denim. My advice would be subtle accessories with an outfit like this , let the jeans do the talking.

Hopefully you’ve found some Saturday night inspo for your upcoming festive celebrations.

My last message would be… take a brolly, because as a young girl myself I know that a coat is NEVER an option.
